How much does skip hire cost?
Our skips start at £150 for a 2 yard mini skip and go up to £530 for a 16 yard skip. All prices include VAT and there are no fuel charges. See our skip prices for every size.
How long can I keep a skip?
Hire includes 14 days. If you need it longer, it's £25 a week after that. When it's full, call us and we will collect it within 5 days.
How quickly can you deliver a skip?
We usually deliver skips within 24 hours of booking across Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran and the surrounding areas.
Can the skip go on the road?
No. We do not arrange council road permits, so our skips go on private land such as a driveway or yard. If you have no space off the road, our wait and load service or a rubbish removal is the answer.
What can't go in a skip?
Asbestos, gas canisters, paint tins, oils, mattresses, fridges and freezers cannot go in a skip. We can collect mattresses, fridges, gas canisters and paint tins separately for an extra charge. See bulky item collection.
Do you charge for fuel?
No. We never add fuel charges to your price.
What is wait and load?
We bring the skip lorry, wait while you load, then take the waste away the same visit. It costs £50 per hour extra and suits homes with no driveway. More about wait and load.
Can I drop waste off myself?
Yes. Our yard at C10 Star Trading Estate, Ponthir is open to the public Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm, with drop-off from £50. Trade waste is welcome. See yard drop-off.
Which areas do you cover?
We deliver within 5 miles of our Ponthir yard: Newport, Caerleon, Ponthir, Cwmbran, Rogerstone, Bassaleg and Langstone. We also deliver further out, including Usk, Magor, Undy and Caldicot, for £50 extra.
Are you a licensed waste carrier?
Yes. We are a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales, registration CBDU023969. Our yard operates under environmental permit EPR/DB3195CL, and we carry £5 million public liability insurance.
Do I get a waste transfer note?
Yes. You get a digital waste transfer note at the yard and a paper note when we deliver or collect.
How do I pay?
By card through a secure SumUp payment link (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay), or cash on delivery.
Do you work in bad weather?
Yes. We work in all weather except heavy snow.
How much of the waste is recycled?
Around 90% of the waste we handle is recycled or recovered rather than sent to landfill.
